Usual Physical Appearance: A Blaziken with somewhat shorter feathers, thinner and drooped points on his crest, lacking a fang shape on his upper beak. Usually wears a blue shirt (mostly light of sky blue), blue jeans, and his Orange Signature Band wrapped around his left leg. Carries around a Berry Bag.


Description:

Drazen the Blaziken is Dell’s first Pokémon and friend, the youngest and most innocent of the group, and contrary to appearance, the most capable in close range combat. With an intelligence only a potato can relate to, Drazen has had intellectual problems ever since he was born. From Professor Birch’s and now into Dell’s hands, he has practically experienced every accident brought about by clumsiness. Most of the team wonder how he has survived to this day. His clueless antics usually cause trouble for the team, and annoys the more hostile members. And because of this, he is a prime target for traps, bait, mischief, pranks, or just plain manipulation.

Drazen’s simple mind has allowed him to enjoy the simple things in life and his greatest love would have to be food. If his appetite is well and his schedule open, he will become the Bottomless Pit itself, eating anything and everything, whether it was edible or not. He will go through any length for a taste of something new, though he usually regrets it.

Drazen is not all clueless though. His whole personality changes in the heat of battle. His intelligence multiplies tenfold and his attitude changes to that of a mature battle veteran. This is the only time Kaiser, Deevee, and the rest show him respect. This phase is rightly called his “Battle Mode”, and they nobly refer to him as “General.” But this usually does not last long, since the slight mention of anything related to food or drink reverts him back to his old, Airheaded self, with no memory of ever being intellectual, though most of what can be remembered is still intact.

Very friendly, and ever lovable, this Blaziken will always be true to his friends, and will strive hard and clumsily to make friends with you!


Things to Note:

- In his Battle Mode, Drazen can beat the entire team on a good day. He also hates nicknames given to him, though loves to give nicknames to his opponents. The General loves nothing more than to train and hone his skills against anyone worthy. His favorite strategy is using his weaknesses as strengths, making moves like Façade, Endeavor, and Counter his usually favorite moves.
- Drazen’s favorite food is berries of any kind. He’s also tasted his whole team (disturbingly as it sounds), and thinks Deevee tastes the best, much to her dismay. The only tastes he dislikes so far are Revival Herbs and, ironically, himself.
- Because he gets so used to Deevee as the only girl on the team, he finds it difficult to talk to other female Pokémon. Unfortunately for him, he attracts female Pokémon like a fire sale. This gave him a sort of gynophobia, which means his ability might as well be Oblivious. He does not know why girls chase him around, even in Battle Mode.
- Despite being a fire type, Drazen absolutely loves the water thanks to his Aquatic Fire training. He is now the team’s best and most graceful swimmer, he doesn’t use umbrellas during rain, and is also the most frequent bather.
- Drazen may or may not forget any question he asks, which might be annoying to some as he loves asking questions.
- Drazen has the hardest Maneuvers to counter, since they are so fast and brutal, there usually isn’t enough opportunity to be open for a counter. He will not hesitate to use the powers of an enemy against them, whether he may suffer damage or not. He tends to have an evil-like smile when battling.
- Even though he is the youngest, he is one of the three Drunketeers. He loves alcohol for the flavor being first reason, weird feelings second. He is also the toughest drunk, being able to down thirty bottles as his limit. Dell debates whether he is old enough to drink, but whatever his decision, Drazen will always find one way or another to get a fix.
- His Signature Band was given to him by Dell as a reward for evolving into a Combusken and getting decent fighting type limbs. It reminded Drazen to be thankful for everything given to him.
- Getting a simple energy training from Dallas, Drazen can learn Ice Punch. A move he uses sparingly as a surprise to his opponents.
- Drazen is also the lightest sleeper. Easily awakened by slight noise. This can have bad results when considering the possibilities of what he can do while everyone is asleep.
- Besides females, Drazen also has a fear of being in front of a crowd, as in stage fright.
